This is an antique knotted wool carpet with a short pile, probably very early 20th century or possibly late 19th century. It is a pre-loved rug 358 cm by 276cm with worn tape in the short edge and sewn over edge on the long edge. It has some visible signs of wear and two possible old moth holes but given its age it is in very good condition.
Photos show the carpet with chairs and drawer unit to give an idea of scale and close ups show the marks and worn areas and the slight fraying at the ends. It is a bit dusty from storage and will need an air.
